Hospital)<br \/><\/strong>Provides coverage for hospital-related services such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inpatient hospital care, including semi-private rooms, meals, and general nursing Care in a skilled nursing facility.<\/li>\n<li>Hospice care.<\/li>\n<li>Home health care, if it is medically necessary and you are homebound.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>Part B (Original Medicare &#8211; Medical)<br \/><\/strong>Provides coverage for certain medical services and supplies, that are deemed medically necessary, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Services from doctors or health care providers.<\/li>\n<li>Outpatient care, including hospice care, lab tests, and X-Rays.<\/li>\n<li>Medical Equipment, including walkers, wheelchairs, and hospital beds.<\/li>\n<li>Preventative services, such as flu shots or cancer screenings.<\/li>\n<li>Home health care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy.<\/li>\n<li>Mental health care, including therapy and counseling.<\/li>\n<li>Some prescription drugs, such as certain cancer drugs and injectible osteoporosis drugs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><br \/><strong>Part C (Medicare Advantage)<br \/><\/strong>Part C, or Medicare Advantage, is a Medicare plan from a private insurance company that is Medicare approved. Medicare Advantages plans may offer extra benefits that Original Medicare doesn&#8217;t cover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part D (Prescription Drug Plan)<br \/><\/strong>Part D, or Prescription Drug coverage, helps beneficiaries cover the cost of prescription drugs, as well as recommended shots and vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>Part D Prescription Drug plans (PDPs) are often already bundled into Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans, or offered as standalone plans when paired with Parts A and B and\/or with a Medicare Supplement plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medicare Supplement (Medigap)<br \/><\/strong>Medicare Supplement Insurance (also known as Medigap) is a type of private health insurance that is designed to supplement Original Medicare (Parts A and B). It helps cover some of the out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare does not cover, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.<\/p>\n<p>Medicare Supplement Insurance policies are offered by private insurance companies and are standardized by the federal government.
